NEW HOME OFFICE GUIDANCE ON DOOR LOCKS FOR SMALL PAYING GUEST ACCOMMODATION AND AIRBNB

Important Guidance for owners of Holiday Lets, Airbns and all small paying guest accommodation in Exeter and East Devon.

There are new regulations starting from October 1st 2023, they will be in place to ensure the safety of your guests in holiday lets, Airbnbs etc.

From my point of view as a Locksmith, the new regulations state, your exit doors, such as the front or back door must be easy to unlock from the inside and should not require a key to exit. Usually this can be overcome with changing the lock for a thumbturn cylinder which is easily unlocked from the inside. (Note a survey of your property would probably be required so I could advise on exactly what is required depending on the type of door/locks you currently have fitted).

I understand that your guests comfort and convenience are important to you. That's why I offer a quick service that can be done during changeovers or at a time specified by you, without causing any inconvenience to your guests.

If you own or manage Holiday lets or Airbnbs in the Exeter and East Devon area and have any questions or would like to book my services, feel free to call me 01392 409449 or 07789867007
