Van Locks and Improved Security
Protecting your work vehicle is vital for many self employed van owners. A van belonging to a builder, plumber, electrician, carpenter, gardener or any one a hundred different trades will be a prime target for thieves. They are usually left filled with tools and materials, usually upwards of a thousand pounds worth of kit and often ten thousand pounds worth. What is more is that it is all there ready to go and easily fenced.
If insurance costs weren't already ruinous for many tradesmen, losing your no-claims bonus by having your van and tools stolen would be disastrous. Not to mention all of the stress of going through the process of claiming and then replacing all of your tools.
We can fit additional security devices to your van to make it much harder for thieves to help themselves to your livelihood. From dead bolts and slam locks to lock protection plates. Van Dead Bolts
We can fit a proper dead locks to your van to prevent unwanted entry. Regardless of how old your van is, we can fit a dead lock so that it is integral to the door. Installed to the door edge and frame the body of the lock will be concealed giving a thief no vulnerable parts to attack.
These can be configured so that all the locks on the vehicle operate with the same key. We only install deadbolt which conform to industry standards in security.
Van Door Slam Locks
Especially useful for delivery vehicles, a slam lock will automatically engaged as the door closes. This prevents thieves from exploiting the fact that many delivery drivers are juggling several things at once as they unload for a delivery and they don't always properly securely.
Like dead bolts, we can fit these within the door frame so that there is no exposed elements to be attacked. Only the keyhole can be seen from the outside. We can fit these to both rear and side doors.
Van Lock Defenders
To prevent a thief from attempting to force the lock with a screwdriver or attacking the body of the van we recommend a defender plate. This is an armoured plate which fits around the lock or handles and provide additional protection.
These are screwdriver-proof, resistant to drills and can even be used to cover over previous damage as a more cost-effective means of repair, in addition to preventing future attacks. We can provide Defenders in black or colour-matched to your vehicle. |
